We just wrapped our first Breathwork, Reiki and sound healing class in Prescott and it sold out. 16 people packed into Earth and Herbs Arizona on South Montezuma Street, most of them experiencing energy healing and guided Breathwork for the first time. What happened in that room was exactly why we brought Liquid Breathwork to the mountains.
Why We Brought Holistic Healing to Prescott
Prescott sits at 5,367 feet elevation surrounded by 1.25 million acres of Prescott National Forest. The American Lung Association has recognized it for having some of the cleanest air in Arizona. When you're practicing Breathwork (literally focused on your breathing) the quality of the air around you matters. And when you layer in Reiki energy work and sound healing with crystal singing bowls, the whole experience deepens.
The town also has a wellness community that's real and grounded. Not the Sedona tourist version of wellness, not the Scottsdale resort spa version. Prescott's holistic healing scene is local people who actually show up consistently. We saw that firsthand when 16 strangers showed up on a Wednesday night and trusted each other enough to lie on the floor, breathe, and open themselves up to energy healing together.
The Space: Earth and Herbs Arizona
Earth and Herbs Arizona is a yoga and healing arts studio at 222 South Montezuma Street in downtown Prescott, owned by Angela Garrotto. It's the kind of space that makes you want to take a deeper breath the second you walk in. Warm lighting, hardwood floors, colorful tapestries, and shelves lined with herbs and teas.
The studio hosts everything from yoga and Qi Gong to weekly sound baths, Reiki shares, infrared sauna sessions, and a monthly Healing Arts Fair. They actively welcome guest practitioners, which is how we connected. Angie creates a space where community happens naturally, and that energy was exactly what we needed for our first Prescott class.
What Happened in the Room
We guided the group through a 45-minute surrender-based Breathwork activation followed by Reiki energy healing and a sound bath with crystal singing bowls. Everyone was lying on yoga mats with eye masks on while Shelby and I moved through the room offering hands-on Reiki transmission and sound healing.
The breathing pattern is gentle. We're not doing Wim Hof ice baths or hyperventilation. This is a relaxed, open-mouth breath that calms your nervous system and lets the body do what it needs to do. And what it needed to do in that room was release.
Some people cried. Some people laughed. A few fell into the deepest rest they'd had in months. That's what surrender-based Breathwork combined with Reiki and sound healing does. It doesn't force anything. It creates the conditions for whatever needs to come up to come up. Stress, tension, emotions that have been sitting in the body for years. The breath moves it, the Reiki supports it, and the sound carries it out.
What People Said After
Two reviews stuck with us:
"Liquid Breathwork provided a beautiful, comfortable and safe space to experience Breathwork, Reiki and sound bath. They love what they share and it shows."
"Very relaxing yet energizing evening. Felt lots of emotions and knew I was in a safe place to express them."
That second one says everything about why we do this. Relaxing yet energizing. Both at the same time. That's what happens when Breathwork, Reiki and sound healing work together. You don't have to push yourself to the edge to feel something real. You just have to breathe and let go.
What to Expect at a Prescott Class
If you're thinking about coming to our next Breathwork, Reiki and sound healing session, here's the breakdown:
- No experience needed. Most people at our first class had never tried Breathwork, Reiki or sound healing before. You'll receive full guidance the entire time.
- You lie down the whole time. This isn't a workout. You're on a yoga mat with a bolster, blanket, and eye mask.
- The breath does the work. We guide you through a gentle, rhythmic breathing pattern for about 45 minutes. Your only job is to keep breathing and surrender to the process.
- Reiki energy healing is included. While you breathe, we move through the room offering hands-on (or hands-off) Reiki transmission. Reiki supports the body's natural healing process and helps move stuck energy that the Breathwork brings to the surface.
- Sound bath with crystal singing bowls. The vibrations from the bowls promote deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and help integrate the emotional and energetic releases from the Breathwork.
- You'll feel something. Everyone's experience is different. Tingling, warmth, emotional release, deep calm, mental clarity, stress relief, sometimes all of it in one session.
- It takes about 90 minutes total. We spend time setting intention before and integrating after.
Prescott's Wellness and Healing Arts Scene Is Growing
Prescott has long been a place where people come to slow down. The elevation keeps summers mild (no 115-degree Phoenix days up here), the ponderosa pine forests are everywhere, and the town square still feels like a place where neighbors actually know each other.
The holistic healing community has been building for years. Studios like Earth and Herbs Arizona offer weekly sound baths, Reiki shares, and community tea times. There are yoga studios, naturopathic centers, meditation groups, and a monthly Healing Arts Fair that brings together Reiki masters, shamans, massage therapists, and energy healers from across northern Arizona.
What was missing was dedicated Breathwork combined with Reiki and sound healing. Not breathing exercises tacked onto the end of a yoga class, but a focused 45-minute guided experience that gives your nervous system the reset it's been asking for. That's the gap we're filling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I do Breathwork and Reiki in Prescott, AZ?
Liquid Breathwork holds regular Breathwork, Reiki, and sound healing classes at Earth and Herbs Arizona, a yoga and healing arts studio at 222 South Montezuma Street in downtown Prescott. Check our class schedule for upcoming dates or book the next class on Eventbrite.
Do I need experience to try Breathwork, Reiki or sound healing?
No. Most of the 16 people at our first Prescott class were experiencing all three for the first time. The practices are gentle and accessible for all levels. We create a safe, comfortable space where you go at your own pace.
What is Reiki and how does it work with Breathwork?
Reiki is a form of energy healing where a practitioner channels universal life force energy through their hands to support the body's natural ability to heal. During our sessions, Reiki is layered on top of the Breathwork activation. The breath opens the body, and Reiki helps move stuck energy and emotions that surface. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, Reiki is used to promote relaxation and support overall well-being.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where you lie down and absorb the vibrations from instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, or chimes. The sound waves promote deep relaxation, stress relief, and nervous system regulation. In our sessions, the sound bath follows the Breathwork and Reiki portions, helping you integrate everything you've processed and settle into a state of calm.
