Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.
Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.
We built the online cohort for people who can't travel, or who simply want to start online. Whatever your reason, it gets you there. That said, if you can make an in-person intensive work, we always encourage it. Breathing in a room with your cohort is something a screen can't fully recreate.
We will be straight with you. We do not hold a training in San Francisco. Our in-person facilitator training has always been a destination intensive, and it is worth the trip if this training is the right fit for you. Bay Area students made the drive up to our August 2026 Lake Tahoe intensive for exactly that reason. That cohort has concluded, and the next in-person cohorts are in Phoenix, Arizona.
The distance is the point. A facilitator training is an immersion, and stepping out of the Bay Area bubble is part of what makes the work land. You leave the city for a weekend and come home certified.

“The training gave me the confidence to speak with knowledge about breathwork ... the experiencer is put more at ease and able to go deeper knowing that what is happening is normal and ok.”
He has run a class or two every month since April under his own brand.
“The group calls are supportive and range from business growth to breaking down student’s teachings for feedback.”
Weekly classes, held so consistently that three of her breathers came and got certified in Liquid Breathwork too.
The in-person intensive teaches the surrender-based method Liquid Breathwork is known for, across three days of training. You earn the Liquid Breathwork facilitator credential, one of the most established in-person Breathwork certifications in the United States.
Tuition for the Phoenix cohort (October 23-25, 2026) is $1,697 early bird for the first three of six seats, then $1,997. The 12-week online certification is $1,497. Lodging and meals are not included for in-person cohorts, so you arrange your own stay nearby. Deposits and monthly payment plans are available.
We teach more than breath. You leave with the methodology, the safety training, and the business groundwork: pricing, marketing, and how to fill your first sessions back home in the Bay Area. Mentorship from Ryan and Shelby continues long after the intensive.
For full details, dates, and itinerary, see the in-person certification page, or explore the online certification. Coming from the South Bay instead? See the path from San Jose, or from Sacramento.
Every Liquid Breathwork session is trauma-informed. You set the pace, you stay in control, and nothing is forced. We guide you inward through gentle surrender, never outward through forced catharsis or screaming. Integration support is always offered, and our door is open if you need to talk.
Founder & Lead Facilitator
Ryan is the founder of Liquid Breathwork and the creator of the surrender-based methodology at the heart of this training. He has spent years guiding hundreds of people through transformative Breathwork experiences across Arizona and beyond. His facilitation style is grounded, intuitive, and deeply present. Ryan brings both the technical depth and the lived experience to teach you not just the how of Breathwork, but the why.
Co-Founder & Lead Facilitator
Shelby brings warmth, emotional intelligence, and deep somatic skill to every training. She has an exceptional ability to read the subtle language of the nervous system, recognizing when someone needs support, space, or gentle encouragement. Her training in somatic support and ethical touch practices ensures that graduates leave with the sensitivity and skill to work with clients at the body level.
"What a growing experience I have had the pleasure of having with Ryan. I'm so happy I took the chance to reach out when coming across him on the social platform. He has been so warm and authentic from the first moment we got introduced. I have learnt so much through his journey and greatful for him sharing it and the technique of this amazing breathwork with me. Do not hesitate, just do and let Ryan guide you."
"Ryan and Shelby are incredible! They create a very safe and supportive environment to practice Liquid Breathwork. I always get exactly what I need. I highly recommend taking a class!"
"I was so intimidated before starting and to now feel that it’s all possible feels so exciting. Super grateful for this experience!! Thank you Ryan! You’re such a gentle soul, wealth of knowledge, and make learning Breathwork fun and simplified!"
"The Liquid Breathwork Masters Course has been amazing! The videos are packed full of helpful content on the breath, as well as the more technical side of hosting Breathwork classes like audio equipment, Zoom tips, and crafting incredible playlists. The group calls are supportive and range from business growth to breaking down student’s teachings for feedback."
"The space you both created during the course felt incredibly warm, welcoming, and safe, which made it easy to stay present and engaged throughout. The simplicity of the Breathwork really stayed with me, and I've already started noticing how restorative it is. Grateful for the experience and for both of you!"
"LBW is always a worthwhile experience. Ryan and Shelby tend to always find a way to cultivate an environment that allows clients the space to identify and realize what they need. For me, it’s a perfect stage-setter in lead up to a stressful week."
Yes. We do not hold a training in San Francisco, but Bay Area students have two current paths: the 12-week online facilitator certification starting October 6, 2026, and the in-person three-day intensive in Phoenix, Arizona, October 23-25, 2026. Our August 2026 Lake Tahoe intensive, which many Bay Area students traveled to, has concluded.
For most people, yes. A facilitator training is an immersion, and getting out of the Bay Area is part of what makes it land. Bay Area students made the drive to our August 2026 Lake Tahoe intensive for exactly that reason. The current in-person intensive is in Phoenix, a short direct flight from SFO or Oakland, and many students arrive the day before and make a real trip of it.
