Same Method, Every Path

What You Walk Away With

Every path leads to the same place: the surrender-based method, a real facilitator credential, and the confidence to hold Breathwork for real people. You learn safe, trauma-informed facilitation and the business side of filling your first rooms.

Whichever format you choose, you train directly with Ryan and Shelby in a small cohort, and you keep the graduate community and mentorship long after your final day.

What is the Liquid Breathwork In-Person Certification?

The Liquid Breathwork in-person Breathwork certification is a hands-on facilitator training held in two locations in the United States: a three-day intensive in the Phoenix, Arizona metro and a three-day intensive in South Lake Tahoe, California. Both teach the same surrender-based methodology, are co-led by Ryan McBurney and Shelby Von Oepen RN BSN, and have you leading real Breathwork sessions before you leave. Monthly payment plans are available for either format. See how this in-person Breathwork certification compares to other top programs in our Breathwork certification guide.

Real Students, Real Transformations

Our Graduates, In Their Own Words

Why In-Person

Train with Real Humans, in a Real Room

Most Breathwork certification today happens over a screen. We teach in person because facilitation is a felt skill. Reading a room, adjusting your pacing, holding space when an emotion surfaces, none of that lands the same way through a webcam. Virtual training over Zoom might be convenient but it pales in comparison to in-person Breathwork certification.

In our in-person Breathwork certification you practice hands-on facilitation with real participants. You give sessions, you receive them, and you lead real Breathwork before you leave, with direct feedback from Ryan and Shelby in the moment. That is the difference between knowing the method and being able to hold it for someone else.

We train in person in two settings: a three-day intensive workshop in Phoenix, Arizona, and a three-day intensive in South Lake Tahoe, California. Same surrender-based method, taught the same way, in the room with you. Comparing this to other in-person Breathwork certification programs? See our Breathwork certification review for the full breakdown.

What You Get

Inside the In-Person Training

  • Hands-on facilitation practice. You guide live Breathwork sessions in small groups and get real-time coaching, not just theory.
  • Lead real sessions before you leave. By the final day you have facilitated for actual participants, so you walk out ready to hold your own.
  • Co-taught by Ryan and Shelby. Ryan McBurney built the surrender-based method; Shelby Von Oepen, RN BSN, brings clinical and somatic depth to every cohort.
  • Surrender-based methodology. Active release and trust, not forced intensity. You learn to facilitate the body's own intelligence.
  • A credential backed by practice. You graduate with the Liquid Breathwork Facilitator Certification and the real reps to stand behind it.
  • The business of Breathwork. Pricing, marketing, and filling your first rooms, included alongside the facilitation training.

We keep cohorts small on purpose. In person, that means every student gets practicum time, personal attention, and honest feedback through the whole training.
